In their words

What our learners say

I completed a FREC3 refresher course over the weekend. It’s my second time to complete a course at Hearts first and again it was a really enjoyable and informative couple of days. It’s amazing how everything comes back to you from the training session three years ago. The trainer this weekend was a paramedic trainer and he has vast experience and some nice, gruesome stories to tell. He explained everything in detail and made sure we understood the topic before moving on. He also answered all our questions with confidence. We completed different scenarios from illnesses to major incidents to practise what we had been taught. Overall, I am really pleased with how the course went and confident to use my skills when needed. I would recommend Hearts First Training

I was really nervous about attending the course, but Ian and Karin made me feel at home straight away! The knowledge that they have is second to none! I have learnt so much from this first aid course and would recommend to use hearts training Ltd.

Also, Ian bought us chocolates and also supplied lots of tea and coffee!

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.

Completed my Frec 3 course here, I must say it was a lovely experience not only being taught but it felt like a community who all loved to help each other. Thank you to Dennis and Ross for all the hard work they put. Dennis taught me a lot and I can’t wait to use my skills and excel.

Q. What is the FREC 3 qualification, and who is it suitable for?

A. The QA Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care, commonly known as FREC 3, is a nationally recognised Qualsafe qualification for people wanting to develop advanced emergency-care skills. It is suitable for aspiring event medics, first responders, security and close-protection professionals, ambulance-sector workers, and people employed in high-risk environments. Hearts First delivers the five-day FREC 3 course in Radlett through practical scenarios and classroom-based learning.

Q. Should I choose Emergency First Aid at Work or First Aid at Work?

A. Emergency First Aid at Work is a one-day course generally suited to smaller or lower-risk workplaces. The three-day First Aid at Work course covers a wider range of illnesses and injuries and is generally more suitable for larger or higher-risk workplaces. Employers should complete a workplace first-aid needs assessment to determine the appropriate qualification and number of trained first aiders. Hearts First can help organisations choose the most suitable course.
